It's not too often I'm blessed with the honor of capturing the marriage of a family member. Through my wife, I have gained such wonderful cousins. It just so happens that we earned the responsibility for planning and photographing the wedding of one of Kristina's inspirations, Malorie. It all started when she was surprised at their family reunion last summer when Dwight got down on bended knee to propose. From that moment, our journey to make sure their special day is full of bliss had begun!
We drove to Memphis, TN to be present for the rehearsal. Afterward, we enjoyed sweet fellowship with family that traveled to celebrate with Dwight and Malorie. The very next day was the wedding day. Everyone arrived at Art Village Gallery for the day's festivities. With so many personal touches during the ceremony and reception, we all enjoyed ourselves in the joy of the newlyweds!
As if that wasn't enough, the lounge next door heard that there was wedding reception happening and invited the couple over for a few dedicated love songs. The band sang and played while Mr & Mrs Banks danced on center of the room. The lounge patrons cheered and clapped for them. After the performances, the band vocalists embraced Dwight and his wife wishing them many years of happiness!
Being the photographer for these two allowed me to learn so much about them individually and collectively. I feel as though I gained two great friends and a new cousin all at the same time. I am in awe of true every time I witness it. This couple is definitely in love with each other and it's easy to see. I wish you an Ultimate life together...
...Congratulations Dwight & Malorie!!!
